This love for optimisation, coupled with my interest in programming and coding fuels my passion towards the field of analytics, unpacking and managing different aspects of life with data-driven insights and logic.   • Contributed to the development of a Private Markets Data Ecosystem Application's User Interface from scratch using React.js as well as Test-Driven Development and Behavioral-Driven Development methodologies.
  • Built and maintained the application's backend using Snowflake Database, AWS Lambdas and Glue Functions, and Restful APIs, ensuring efficient data flow and processing.
  • Developed and maintained features of the data ingestion and processing infrastructure, enabling seamless data integration and analysis.
  • Implemented end-to-end testing flows for both the Front End and Back End infrastructure using GitHub Actions, Cypress, and SonarQube, for improvement in application stability and reliability.

Maritime Port Authority of Singapore

  • Research & Reccomendations on current policy implementations & guidelines for recipients of MPA Grants
  • Developed a data extraction tool using Python & Py-Tesseract Library to aid in automated retrieval of data from financial statements through Optical Character Recognition.

At MPA, one of my roles was to understand research and understand current MPA Grants rolled out and through detailed cross-referencing various Management Associate Programmes through other government sectors and private sectors. Another aspect of my role was the development of a data extraction tool that utilised Optical Character Recognition through the Python Py-Tesseract Library and Pandas Library to automate data extraction from financial statements, regardless of Scanned or PDF Copies. Additionally, i also created various Python Scripts which automated the data extraction from various MPA forms into easily extractable excel sheets.

This internship helped me to understand a lot about the fundamentals of programming, writing efficient, understandable and well documented code. Furthermore, the in depth work with the Pandas and Py-Tesseract Libraries helped me to increase my professional competence with programming in Python.

  • Strategic Planning to boost Sales & Staff Morale
  • Analytics of Sales Data for Forward Planning and Analysis
  • In this role, i was incharge of Strategic Planning to boost Sales & Staff Morale, as well as analytics of sales data using Microsoft Excel for enhanced forward planning. With my limited understanding of programming & data analytics, I attempted to generate reports for all 15+ Members in the sales team, with metrics such as Top Product, Best Quarter and Year on Year Trends.

    Personally, i felt that this experience gave me my first taste of data analytics and understanding the importance of it especially in such a fast paced industry such as sales.

Crypto Portfolio

An application created during a Web-Development Module, created this application helped to hone my understanding of utilising HTML, CSS, Javascript, Vue.js and firebase to create an integrated application.

EduSkool

An integrated application created as a tool for enrichment centers, targetted at upper primary kids where they could engage in self-directed learning through online videos and quizzes. Some key features include a competitve leaderboard to incentise the students to consistently engage in the learning tool, as well as metrics for the teachers to track the progress of their students

Shopee Coding League 2022

Participated in the Shopee Coding League 2022, where my teammates,Brian and Danyel, and I were 600th out of over 2500+ participants in the competition. While we were unable to qualify for the finals, it was our first time partcipating in a Hackathon and this experience has definitely motivated us to sign up for more hackathons in the future to continue fueling our keen interest in programming.

Google Code Jam 2022

Participated in the Google Code Jam 2022 where i was able to pass the qualifying round and compete in round 1a, 1b and 1c. This was a very enriching journey as i continue to hone my coding skills and abilites.
